    Revelation 14:6-7

    Verse 6-7

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those that dwell upon the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

There are many who speculate that this might represent the satellite systems that now circle the earth and have the ability and capacity to communicate with the whole world at one time that there ids no area that is not in range of these satellites. But I believe that this is actually an angelic being. Man has always put his trust in his accomplishments but I believe that this angelic being is a direct intervention of God that isn't one of mans accomplishment. An event that man can not explain away with his technology and accomplishments.

In Matthew24:14 Jesus spoke of what would be happening in the last days and one of the things He mentions is that the gospel would be preached "And the gospel of the kingdom must be preached to all nations and then shall the end come". I believe that is what this angelic being will accomplish. Jesus was talking about this same period of time, the last period of time during the Great Tribulation. It is all in context with the Great Tribulation. And the gospel shall be preached as a witness to all nations.

There are some who say that the Church must preach the gospel to the whole world and when the Church has accomplished this then Jesus would come back. They refer to this in Matthew 24 as the foundation of that belief. But I feel that the final preaching of the gospel to all tongues, people and nations is not from the Church but from the angelic being here in Revelation. I believe that it is through the supernatural intervention of God that man can claim that this was by their doing. The church has taken verse in Matthew 24 as a challenge and they have said that Jesus can't come again until we have preached the gospel to every nation. Now, I believe that we should seek to preach the gospel to every nation, but I do not believe that our failure to do so is hindering the return of Jesus Christ. I believe that this particular verse in Revelation is a reference to this angelic being that flies through the midst of heaven declaring the everlasting gospel to all the nations, kindreds and people.

The message of the angelic being is to "Fear God, and give glory to him", then to "give glory to him". In Romans Paul wrote about the man who didn't like to retain God in His knowledge and said that they were worshipping "the creature more than the creator (Romans 1:25)". Herw we have an angelic being of God crying out to man to worship the one who created all, not the creature or the created. Worship the God who made the heavens. The naturalist, humanist and evolutionist worships creation because they did not want to retain God in their mind. God gives them over to reprobate minds. "Professing themselves to be wise, they become fools (Romans 1:22)", because they worship and serve the creature more than the creator who is blessed forever more. So, in the proclaiming of the everlasting gospel they are given words of wisdom and warning to worship Him who has made the heaven and earth.

What stronger sign and warning could be given more than an actual angelic being flying through heaven preaching this gospel. God goes to incredible lengths to preach to man before His wrath is finished and judgement comes

    Revelation 14:8-13

    Verse 8

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

We have had one angel flying through heaven with the everlasting gospel now we have one that is saying "Babylon, is fallen". We will see more about who and what this Babylon is when we get to chapter 17. But to just set the foundation for that I will speak a little about Babylon.

In the Bible the foundation and beginning of the city of Babylon was when man built the tower of Babel trying to reach up into the heavens

Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Babylon has been associated with false pathways (worship) to God since the times of Nimrod. It was plainly seen in the captivity of Israel and the trials of Daniel, Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego and the forcing of false worship to other gods than the God of Israel. Also you can see that when Israel went after false gods that it was always spoken as a manner of adultery (fornication's) and it is said of Babylon that they made the nations drink the wine of Gods wrath for her fornication (worship of false gods/idolatry). You see that in the time of tribulation the false worship that was Babylon is again prevelant in the world and that God's wrath will cause it to fall.

    Verse 9-11

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

The first angel declared the everlasting gospel, then the second dealt with Babylon and false worship and now we have an angel warning man not to take the mark of the beast (a mark signifies allegiance). Man is warned about following the beast thus finalizing their rebellion against God by siding with the forces of Satan in His assault on the purpose and will of God. There are many speculations as to what the mark is but the bottom line is that striking an allegiance with the work of Satan (the Anti-christ/beast) is taking the mark. This angel warns man against worshipping the beast or taking his mark, so that if a man does take the mark and does worship the beast or his image, he is doing it knowingly. This will be a willful rebellion against God, because he has been deceived into thinking that in the final conflict that will soon be taking place, that Satan and the forces of darkness will be able to overcome the forces of light.

There is also a judgement attached to taking the mark. This is as final as the judgement for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. There is no forgiveness attached to the judgement of taking the mark of the beast. It says that whoever takes the mark of the beast will be tormented with fire and brimstone forever and will drink the cup of the wrath of God and will not have rest day or night from this torment.

    Verse 12-13
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

The cost for belief in the tribulation times will be the believers life.

Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Revelation 11:7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The patience of the believer in the tribulation is that they keep the testimony of Jesus unto death. God says that they are blessed they who die in the Lord during this time. The Lord says that they will rest from their labors in death and that all that they did as believers will follow them in death. The price for belief is higher and harder than it is now.
